Rates and Information

Smallidge Cottage is situated in the beautiful woods of “Pretty Marsh, Maine” and is owned by Helen and “Niffie” Smallidge.

The new address location is named “Cliff’s Way” in remembrance of Helen’s father who constructed the cottage with help from his son-in-law Niffie. Mr. Robinson was a master carpenter who lent his building and repair skills to many Summer cottages in the Mount Desert Island area.

Over the years, many guests have enjoyed the perfect get away from “civilization” while having access to the comforts of home.

The cottage is in a prime location on Mount Desert Island, close enough to the quiet side, and just a short drive ( about 25 minutes ) to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Kayaking and Canoeing launch points  (From Long Pond and Bartlett’s landing) are less than ten minutes !

The cottage can  accommodate a family or group of up to six people, and includes full kitchen facilities, and full bath with newly installed shower.

You can relax or grill your favorite foods on the attached outdoor deck.

Sleeping areas include two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. An additional bed is located in an upstairs loft space. Need more room?

The couch also folds out in to another bed.

To keep you warm during chillier nights in the Fall season, a wood stove is provided.

RATES

Rates are seasonally dependent, peak rates apply during  August.

Note: All rates include Maine sales and lodging tax and reflect a minimum stay of one week.

MAY $ 642.00 (per week)

JUNE $749.00 (per week)

JULY $856.00 (per week)

AUGUST (Peak Rate) $963.00 (per week)

SEPTEMBER $856.00 (per week)

OCTOBER $ 749.00 (per week)

AN ADDITIONAL SECURITY DEPOSIT REQUIRED

An additional security deposit of 200 ( two hundred ) dollars is required to reserve time.

Prior to occupation by guests, the balance due on the weekly rate MUST be paid in full.

IMPORTANT: If reserved time is to be canceled , two weeks PRIOR notification is required.

FAILURE TO NOTIFY THE OWNERS 14 DAYS PRIOR to date of cancellation will result in loss of deposit.

Deposit will be refunded to guests within one week after cleaning and property inspection.
